Sun in Leo Sextile Jupiter in Gemini
Mercury Retrograde in Virgo Conjunct Venus in Virgo
The Sun in Leo sextiled Jupiter in Gemini early today, bringing together the passionate, heart-activating energies of Leo and the Sun, the expansive, boundary-dissolving vibes of Jupiter, and the communicative and integrative energy of Gemini.
Later this evening, Mercury retrograde will conjoin Venus in Virgo, the mutable Earth sign, adding more tangibility and depth to this notion of boundless love of creation/creating.
Let’s talk about the Sun/Jupiter sextile first:
Sun in Leo Sextile Jupiter in Gemini
The Sun in Leo shines on all of creation, inviting us to showcase our soul’s creativity so that our creations can be appreciated by all and touch the hearts of those who are needing the specific frequency of what only we can truly create right now.
It can be hard for us to believe, sometimes, that our own creations (whatever they may be) could possibly touch others on such a deep level, but Jupiter in Gemini assures us that this is actually the real meaning of creation, at its very core. This is the reason we are incarnate, to bring our soul’s offerings out into the sunshine for all to see.
We're here to offer our heart’s purest, wisest creations unto the Earth, itself an altar of the Sun, and there our creations will be anointed with the light of the galaxy.
This Jupiter in Gemini energy is so beautiful sextiling the bright confidence of the Sun in Leo, urging us to share our heart’s inner wisdom with our outer community to bring a greater sense of wholeness and togetherness.
Jupiter helps expand all it touches, and in Gemini this energy wants to cultivate healthy integration with the community it inhabits. Gemini energy wants to share ideas of all kinds, and the drive to connect with the whole is what powers this powerful outpouring of lifeforce. Gemini disseminates, circulates, and amalgamates – it moves information and brings seemingly differing energies together to support the greater whole, oftentimes even in an unconscious, subtle type of way. Gemini is so adept at this community-building because it doesn’t do it for the sake of “making,” but for the sake of weaving ideas and really, weaving light, into creation.
This Sun/Jupiter sextile offers us a sort of brief reprieve from all the retrograde energy currently at play (Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, and Chiron ALL retrograde!) to remind us that the Sun is still beaming down on us Earth inhabitants. Amongst it all, we are still blessed with the new offering of another day, where so much is possible if we treat it with the honor it deserves. We offer our life’s creations to the Sun, and in return, in reciprocation, the Sun offers us the Light under which we continue to create. This is the energy exchange. This is the relationship.
Leo reminds us that our creations and the voice of our inner child, always urging us to create, create, create, is what matters. In a sense, accessing this energy healthily and using it as we are called to is all that matters. Jupiter reminds us that time can expand to include the highest possible octave of love. Gemini reminds us that this love, and the outpouring from our own souls of this love in reciprocal relationship with the Sun, with life, is what fuels creation and what ultimately connects us to the Light that is always present to make possible our every moment of being.
Now, onto the Mercury retrograde/Venus conjunction in Virgo:
Mercury Retrograde in Virgo Conjunct Venus in Virgo
Mercury retrograde is nothing to fear; it’s simply a time apt for reviewing all things related to communication, messaging, and connection. Mercury retrograde in Earthy and diligent Virgo urges us toward excellence through being meaningfully detail-oriented. This is far different from the egoic desire to hyper-fixate on minutiae that don’t really serve the overall delivery of the creation at hand. We must be conscious of our underlying reasoning, because there is a different quality to the end product (ahm, creation) when we are perfectionistic and frantic versus when we are heart-centered and present in the moment. So, with this Mercury retrograde/Virgo energy we have a quest for bringing excellence into fruition without the disruption of the ego.
Venus in Virgo believes all that is created from the pure heart will be excellent, “perfect,” even (however, in a different way than we know of worldly perfection). Venus in Virgo reminds us that everything done in love is done well. Love is patient, kind, and understanding…all of these Venusian-esque virtues that soften the well-known Virgo rigidity and allow us to access the depths of this mutable Earth sign.
Virgo contains an underlying psychism, a propensity toward a deeper truth and knowing at the core. Venus equates this deepness back to love, and with Mercury retrograde it’s important to remember to communicate and embody this love. This too, is a type of creation, albeit more subtle. But Virgo is a master of subtleties, remember, when it isn’t egoicly-focused on inconsequential details.
A conjunction is neutral, and denotes the blending of planetary energies to create a new understanding or perception of this energy altogether. This blending of Mercury retrograde/Venusian energy in Virgo is an opportunity to slow down, in the name of love. Remember how I said the Sun/Jupiter sextile is offering us a breather from the influx of retrograde energy right now? Well, this Mercury retrograde/Venus conjunction in Virgo is what comes right after, calling us to remember to embody the depths of love as we create each moment through our actions and responses to others’ actions.
When we take the time to notice, we can see that each moment of our life, each action we choose, is a part of divine creation. While it might seem overwhelming (to Virgo) to know this, in reality we’re not tasked with perfecting each millisecond, but by making the whole of our lives something that is beautiful. Ultimately, in its highest expression, Virgo can truly channel and create divine beauty (Venus) through connection (Mercury) with its own intuitive knowing. Bringing this knowing to life in creation is how the force of Love is set in motion.
Since we’ve been urged to bless and honor our creative power with the strength of this morning’s sextile, this commitment toward creating beauty from the soul feels just right. Those offerings we lay out for the Sun are the summations of the intricate moments of our lives – they are not separate things only deemed holy at certain times, after certain ceremonies. Our offerings come from the stuff that makes matter: the Light, and by Light our creations are consecrated by the cosmos, and to Light they will eventually return. We are simply learning how to handle, how to be, how to work with, and how to perceive this Light in all moments and forms.
Keep focused on creating with love and offering these creations to the world, and with living in the essence of love in each moment, as your life is the larger creation you are ultimately offering, and what an adventure the making of such an offering is.
With love,
Bridgett ♡︎
